By reading online, I sign the resources that I find interesting and useful. I share these links about once a month here on my blog. This article includes linked links, AI tools, accessibility, fair use and narration (including a little pleasure with a choice of your own adventure).

Christy's control list to attract and acquire independent customers
IDLANT has published a summary of my recent webinar with them with a key point control list of my session. If you have missed the live session, get the strengths of my advice in this article.
How to create a simple 2 -page business plan
If you are a freelancer, you are often a person's business. You don't need a really complicated business plan, but you need a kind of plan. This is a list of questions to ask yourself as a freelancer to clarify what you do, for whom you do it and how you earn money. I did it for myself a few years ago, and I am probably due to a refreshment of my business plan now.
How to create an avatar customer for your independent company (guest message)

AI tools
Test OpenAi's voices, available via their API. The “Ambiance” option allows you to describe the tone, the voice and the delivery. These voices are better in emotions than many other AI voices. The cost is less than eleven, but you need to use the API for actual production. I assume that they will create a web interface to use at a given time in the future. OPENAI is vague on the data used to form its voices, which, I suppose, means that they did not pay to concede to the actors of voices like Elevenlabs.
Languatalk: Learn languages with 5 -star tutors and AI (Langua) • Languatalk
Audio cats fed by AI to speak when you learn a language. The system has integrated corrections and advice to help you progress. This use of AI has meaning for me. A human tutor would always be better, but it would be ideal for practice by yourself.
Illustration.app – Vector illustration generator AI
I haven't tested it yet, but it looks like another viable option to create vector illustrations in coherent styles. A feature that I have not seen elsewhere is the generator of color pallets. Give him a word like desert, nature or neon, and he will generate a color palette that you can use in your images. You can edit and collect images or make the background transparent directly in this tool.
Learn more about AI (accessibility and fair use)
When AI and the rights of disabilities collide: a new border in accommodation in the workplace 🤖♿
This article concerns accessibility and AI tools at the workplace, but it is good to keep in mind that we are also experiencing and assessing AI tools for training purposes.
5 ways whose IA tools create new barriers
1️⃣ Inaccessible interfaces – not compatible with screen players or voice recognition software.
2️⃣ Metrics of rigid productivity – penalize the work models of neurodiverses.
3️⃣ Communication analysis – poor communication linked to certain handicaps.
4️⃣ Cognitive hypotheses – built around neurotypical thought.
5️⃣ Sensory requirements – require (voice / vision) entries not accessible to everyone.

As intellectual property is one of the subjects to be discussed linked to AI, the question of fair use has become more important. This is a good overview of the four factors to determine whether something is fair use or not. Think about how AI training meets or fails these four factors. Note that he does not need to meet them all to be fair use, but each factor weighs in favor or against fair use. The courts did not give us clear answers, in part because fair use is always a more subjective area of the law.
The four factors that the judges consider are:
- The purpose and character of your use
- The nature of the work protected by copyright
- the amount and substantiality of the portion taken, and
- the effect of use on the potential market.

Narration
Inspiring narration examples in Elearning
Large examples of the way different perspectives (1st, 2nd and 3rd person) can change the feeling of narration. Jonathan Hill also describes Vonnegut's “Man in a Hole” model for stories where a character overcomes a problem. I think that the simpler narrative structure is much more useful for the narration in training than the “journey of the hero” more complex.
A little pleasure on Friday. Thank you, Tracy Parish and Chad Udell.
