Horry County School Staff, Monday, March 24, presented the initial budgetary plans for the next financial year, highlighting a request for financing artificial intelligence and additional expenditure needs for two new elementary schools.
Superintendent Clifford Jones and his district staff discussed the 2025-26 plans budget meeting at the Board of Directors of the County Horry on Monday.
The new budget, presented by the directors of the department to the board of directors, should be finalized and voted in May before the new fiscal year, which begins on July 1. It was the first budgetary season led by Jones, which began as a new director of the HCS in February.
