In an important step for European innovation, the Tech Eit Deep talent initiative has succeeded in 1 million people in profound technology skills, including AI, quantum IT, robotics and cybersecurity.
We sat with Martin Kern de l'Eit to unpack what it means for the capacity for innovation in Europe, strategic autonomy and the development of talents.
“The speed of technological change means that re -script and upgrade are no longer optional – they are essential,” said Kern.
He stressed that the initiative goes beyond simple training: it builds a pan-European community of universities, businesses and research centers to ensure a long-term impact.
