The village of Ballipadu (its Mandal Atti) is famous for agriculture because the land is very fertile, and a famous old temple is located in Ballipadu, bringing popularity in the region. The temple is known as the Sri Madana Gopala Swami temple. Bhagawan Sri Krishna is the main deity and is in the form of Madana Gopala Swamy. The Sri Madana Gopala Swamy temple is a former temple built in 1773. The Bhagawan Bienvenue Passerelle Venu Gopala Swamy, Bhagawan Venkateshwara Swamy and Mata Rajya Lakshmi Idoles can be found. A huge idol by Bhagawan Anjaneya can be seen in the temple premises.
Dhwajasthamb in the temple was installed in 1901. Bhagawan Madana Gopala Swamy Idol reminds us of the Madhurastakam hymn by Vallabhacharya Adharam Madhuram! A unique attraction is Koneru (Pond), where Bhagawan Vishnu is lying on Adisisha with his wife Mata Adi Lakshmi Devi seated near his feet.
It is relevant to mention that the western district of Godavari is famous for paddy crops during the two seasons. During the Kharif season, sugar cane is the second major culture. Paddy and sugar cane contribute to approximately 95% of the total cropped area.
During the Rabi, the black gram and the corn are mainly cultivated in the Tadepalligudem mandal. When I visited Ballipadu and its mandal, I observed the culture of the paddy everywhere, and the attractive greenery fascinated me.
