Vedic Speed Math is a course for children of growing age groups not only learning to calculate quickly but also to learn more about the principles of Vedic mathematics. The idea of the course is not to give hundreds of techniques which are just as difficult compared to the traditional techniques to which we provide an alternative, but to provide some sets of techniques that work and are really fast compared to traditional methods.
For example, the multiplication of speed when the sum of the figures is a multiple of 10. The principle in practice below is: Ekadhikina prolina
Multiply two numbers near a base using Nikhilam Sutra
Calculate 17 * 16
17 – 4 or 16 – 3 (through) will give LHS 13
But, we calculate from 20, so LHS will become 26.
RHS is a multiplication on the right side 3 x 4 = 12
LHS (26) and RHS (12) joined to become 272.
Calculate 27 x 29
LHS is 26 * 3 = 78
RHS is 1 * 3 = 3
The answer is 783
Calculate 76 x 78
LHS calculation is (76-2) or (78-4) = 74
Multiply 74 x 8 = 592
LHS is 592
RHS is 2 × 4 = 8
The answer is 5928
Multiply two remote numbers using URDHVA-TRYAGBHYAM
Calculate 25 x 42
Calculate 36 x 72
I hope it's useful, thank you.
