What does it do an LL.M. online program?
In simple terms, it's a lot of work. It was a very humiliating experience. Although the experience on the campus is unique, the online learning experience has been excellent thanks to the technological tools available now. You can interact with students and teachers, so it is not as unidimensional as I thought before I register.
Why did you choose an LL.M. online. Road against in person?
Finish an LL.M. The online program was both difficult and rewarding. I chose the online route for its flexibility, allowing me to balance my professional and personal responsibilities with my academic activities. The online format offers access to high quality education without the need to move or disrupt my work schedule and family commitments.
Reflections on your experience? For advantages and disadvantages?
The advantages of experience include flexibility to manage work, study and personal life; Access to various resources and expertise of teachers from anywhere in the world; And the possibility of network with peers and international professionals.
Being a member of Inta since 2008, I already knew the solid links of Franklin Pierce with the organization – it is in fact as I learned the program for the first time. It was great to now have the opportunity to connect with members of the former community during inta events.
The only idiot I have is that it is online and which requires strong skills of self -discipline and time management. If you do not develop a routine and do not stand, it will become very frustrating and crushing quickly.
Advice to anyone planning an online LL.M.?
If you are considering an LL.M. online, be ready to stay organized and motivated. Make sure you take advantage of all available resources, actively participate in discussions and network with your peers and teachers.
Balancing work, studies and personal life can be demanding, but flexibility and global connections you earn are worth it. The key is to develop discipline, a daily routine and to stick to it.
For example, I got up at 5 a.m., I dropped off my daughter at school at 7 a.m. and I studied until about 8:30 am, then I studied a few more hours during lunch and an hour in the evening. I took the jobs of work to devote all day to assignments and study, and I finished each module on Saturday (1-2 hours). This is the system that worked for me.
What are you doing now for work? How does your LL.M. helped?
I currently work as a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience, mainly in brands law. I am a partner of a law firm in Central America called BLP, and I head the IP team in Nicaragua. I give advice on IP issues to national and foreign customers.
Continuing the LL.M. in intellectual property has deepened my expertise in this field and has opened new opportunities for professional growth. He equipped me with advanced knowledge and skills that are directly applicable to my practice, improving my ability to serve my clients more effectively and stay up to date with the latest developments in intellectual property law.
For some time, I thought of university education, perhaps of teaching, but without the support that a LL.M. as this one provides, it was going to be difficult. Surprisingly, I had my first article published by a Latin American legal journal in June. It would not have happened without this program. If anything, my only regret is not to make the jump earlier.
