The two most common reasons why people quote as obstacles to change are “time” and “money”: the time to think what to do and the means by which. Which is very logical, because we often feel occupied and poor in resources.

But they are old currencies: the coins of utility, infrastructureand system.
What we often seek today is creative innovation, invested commitment and access to the community, none can be particularly bought for money, or clearly correlated to time.
Instead, these things are readily invested or carefully won, creating conditions, stimulating and listening. Specific capacities that we can sometimes miss.
In this sense, “time and money” are sure things to say, because we often feel it, but they mask what we really need, which is a more nuanced relationship with systems, a more dynamic and fluid approach to capacity, and a more ambiguous and transient relationship with certainty.
