Washington, DC – The American Department of Energy (DOE) announced today $ 100 million in funding to establish a training program for nuclear security and labor development. Applicants can request funding in the following subjects:
Subject Domaine 1 – Demonstration and implementation
Focuses on the demonstration and implementation of training programs on reactor safety and the establishment or improvement of training diplomas in the safety of nuclear reactors recognized by the industry.
Subject 2 – Curriculum training and development needs
Targets the development of training, the study program and teachers in universities and community colleges to support reactor safety programs and the establishment of long -term sustainable partnerships with public services, industry, state governments and premises, formal and informal institutions from kindergarten to 12th year and labor organizations.
$ 50 million additional dollars will be available in 2025 during a second financing cycle, subject to credits.
Applications are due at the latest at 5:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025. The prices will be announced in the spring of 2025.
