Raise your children with a love of science, and there are decent chances that they grow up by wanting to be like Richard Feynman, Marie Curie, Albert Einstein, or a number of other famous scientists in history. Fortunately for them, they will not have yet learned that the pursuit of such a career will almost certainly lead to the grinding of a doctoral thesis. But it is also luck for you that they will therefore not ask you to explain the subjects of the theses of their idols. Perhaps you tell them about quantum electrodynamics, radiation and even the theory of relativity, but what do you remember “The principle of the slightest action in quantum mechanics”, “ “Research on radioactive substances”, Or “Eine Neue Besttimmung der moleküldimensionn”?

Maybe the “reminder” is not quite the word. But if you want to understand these articles, which constitute important parts of the Research Foundation which would ultimately make their authors famous, you could do much worse than starting with the explanations of the science YouTuber Toby Hendy. In recent years, while building an ever larger audience with its channel TibesShe sometimes reached the archives and released the doctoral thesis from a notable scientist.
We have assembled all his videos in this series in The Playlist abovewhich also includes Hendy explanations of theses written by figures which are not mainly known to the public for their research: Carl Sagan And Neil Degrasse TysonAnd Brian Cox (The physicist, not the Succession Star), whose media work inspired generations of fans to enter science.
Although a young woman, Hendy has mastered old -fashioned teaching techniques, such as relying on a transparency placed on an aerial projector, which can trigger memories of the Science class, at least with us. With her calm and clarity (not to mention her desire to admit when she herself has trouble with the equipment), she would surely have classified among our favorite teachers, and if you present her channel to your children, she will probably become one of their own. That they continue to win a scientific doctorate is, of course, their own inclination and their own efforts. Like so many young people these days, they can finally leave with a stronger desire to become a youtuber – which, after all, is Hendy leave your own doctorate to do.
