The support for financing was granted to the 30 young entrepreneurs of the Bank Corpreneurship Défi in Cross River, Niger, Abuja, Nasarawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Plateau, Jigawa, Anambra and Lagos.

The beneficiaries received the subsidy after developing innovative solutions in various commercial value chains, including fashion design, bag manufacturing, pastry manufacturing, event management, beauty, vegetable cultivation, etc.

They participated in a business field competition which takes place recently for a lot A Stream 2 in 10 NYSC orientation camps.

Over the past six years, the Unity Bank Corpreneurship Challenge has become an integral part of the NYSC program, aligning with the federal government's commitment to increase new graduates in the middle of the growing shortage of white -collar.

The program attracts thousands of requests from members of the NYSC Corps service, whose business plans are assessed for originality, marketing, employability potential and the sense of global companies.

At the NYSC orientation camp in Ipaja, in the state of Lagos, the member of the body Adeniyi Stephen Gbemininyi, who presented a fashion design company, became the general winner, winning the Grand Prix N800 000.

Kolawole Opeoluwa Darasimi, a budding bag manufacturer, won a 500,000 N subsidy, while Johnson Elizabeth Ene received an N300,000 subsidy to support his cake and pastry business.

In the remaining nine states, 27 other winners also emerged after emerging business plans in various sectors such as fish production, poultry cultivation, fashion, manufacturing cakes, printing, pigsty, drinking production, etc.

“At Unity Bank, we believe that the empowerment of young people to shape the economic future of Nigeria must be supported to provide longer -term sustainability.

“Thanks to corporaurship Challenge, we do not only provide funds, but by feeding a new generation of entrepreneurs equipped with skills, resources and confidence to create jobs and transform communities.

“The success stories that we see year after year reaffirm our commitment to the empowerment of young people and the development of SMEs,” said the divisional chief of retail and SMEs to Unity Bank, Ms. Adenike Abimbola.

“The overwhelming interest and the quality of the commercial ideas that we receive in each edition demonstrate the incredible potential among young people in Nigeria. We are proud to combine with the NYSC Saed to make these dreams a reality, ”she added.

The Corpreneurship Challenge has obtained national recognition from the Unity Bank for its contribution to the empowerment of young people and the creation of jobs, attracting more than 2,000 candidates per edition.

In partnership with the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, the initiative presents a business competition which allows participants to present their business plans and win subsidies up to 800,000 N.

Until now, Unity Bank has invested more than 100 million nairas in the initiative, producing more than 160 winners since its launch in 2019.
