Aspects of international level of elevation of sea level

This report assesses how states could protect their existing territorial and marine resources rights under international law when dealing with the increase in seas and loss of land as well as questions relating to the State, human mobility and international cooperation. The report is based on a previous publication of the World Bank from June 2021, “Legal dimensions of sea level elevation: Pacific perspectives”, but focuses on global prospects by linking scientific data with the last legal thinking.
Implementation of international law: capacity building, coordination and control
This article focuses on capacity building, technical assistance and training, and includes the experience of the author with collaborative training initiatives in ocean governance, to which the United Nations agencies, the World Bank and the university partners contribute. The article describes the high challenges of integrative initiatives, the awareness of international organizations and the interaction between regimes. He seeks to take into account collaborative capacity building activities and the adaptive role of participants in the international law system.
Strengthening the capacity of ocean governance
This article describes collaborative training initiatives in ocean governance in Asia-Pacific, to which UN agencies, World Bank and university partners contribute. He seeks to take into account these activities according to the precepts of the regime interaction and the obligation to cooperate in international law and demonstrates the importance of an inclusive approach to learning and capacity building in ocean governance.
