A hundred years ago, mobile X -ray units were a whole new innovation and a boon for the soldiers injured in the front in the First World War. Before the advent of this technology, surgeons in the field run to save blind operational lives, often causing even more injuries when they knew the bullets and bursts whose precise locations remained a mystery.
Marie Curie was just settled in Paris' RadiumA world center for the study of radioactivity, when the war broke out. Many of his researchers have left to fight, while Curie personally delivered the only radium sample in France by train to the government's temporarily moved to Bordeaux.
“I am resolved to put all my strength at the service of my adopted country, because I can do nothing for my unhappy native country earlier …”, Curie, a birth pole, wrote to her lover, Physicist Paul Langevin The day of the New Year 1915.
To this end, she was considering a fleet of vehicles that could very much bring the battlefield closer, on the move of their contact details.

It was only hampered by upside down bureaucrats whose feathers rocked the prospect of technicians and drivers, undoubtedly forgetting that most of the valid men in France were otherwise engaged.
