The course of intermediary skills in joint medical management skills offers education and training on leadership and management skills. These skills are necessary to successfully serve in an intermediate level leadership position in a DHA medical treatment establishment. The course is designed to facilitate the realization of compensation of the joint medical management guest management identified by a three -service examination committee of MHS managers. The course consists of 10 online training modules available via the DHA learning management system (CAC-REQUIRED) followed by a live video conference course over 4 days organized in MS teams.
Course objective (s):
The objective / mission of the course is to facilitate the realization of joint skills in terms of medical skills expected from intermediate level leaders within a DHA network or a hospital or military clinic. Graduates will demonstrate:
- Understanding of the DHA mission and the strategic plan.
- Skills in accordance with the professional expectations necessary to serve in an intermediate level leadership position within a DHA network or a hospital or a military clinic.
- Ability to communicate effectively, direct change initiatives and manage resources.
Target audience:
This course is open to all agents, enlisted and in civilian personnel occupying an intermediate level management position within the DHA, the Defense Health Network or the Military Hospital, the Clinic or the Dental Treatment of the DHA. The note recommended for participants is O 4-5, E 7-8 or GS 11-13. The minimum note for participants is O-3, E-6 or GS-9.

How to register:
In order to register for this course, individuals must register and supplement the Phase 1 Study Program of the Jesiais Prerequisite course located on online joint knowledge. Once individuals have finished this program, they will be able to register for JMEI-US400. Registration for the IES class will be closed when the maximum capacity will be reached or two weeks before the start date of the course. People who do not finish prior equipment and do not register before closing will have to wait for the next iteration. Registration for each iteration is open 90 days before the start date of the course. Registration during the course is capped at 300 participants.
Phase 1 – (10 DL lessons, each of the 10 courses takes about 1 hour.). The course program covers a wide variety of subjects to include health care leadership, problem solving, data -based decision -making, strategic communication, change management, access to care, etc.

Phase 2 – Once they have completed the 10 courses in phase 1, they will be eligible to register for JMEI IES by looking for US400 course number, course name: JMESI – DHA Intermediate Executive Skills Race. If they have not finished phase 1, they will be redirected to the necessary DL courses before they can register for US400. The maximum size of the classes for IES is 300. However, the course takes place three times a year.
