Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMFGA) of the SME is an industry certification focused on basic manufacturing concepts, demonstrating an individual's potential for entry -level manufacturing roles on high demand. It has been designed for new people in manufacturing who may not currently have enough knowledge or experience for more advanced technical certifications. This could include high school students, luxurious workers and individuals from other non -manufacturing sectors who wish to play a role of assembler, manufacturing partner, production worker and other entry -level manufacturing professions. Individuals must not be members of the SMEs to continue certification.

Covering fundamental subjects such as shop mathematics, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, etc., this certification focused on industry shows that the individual has basic knowledge of manufacturing and can be an ideal candidate for entry -level manufacturing use.

The certified manufacturing partner offers a first step in an industry rich in technology filled with continuous growth and advancement possibilities in higher level positions. After obtaining CMFGA, the SME encourages individuals to explore a variety of career paths available in manufacturing and pursuing training or education to obtain more advanced technical certifications. There are other main certification providers offering advanced technical certifications (MSSC, NIMS, AWS, etc.). CMFGA can be a first step and a food in these more advanced technical certifications offering careers with more salary and skills.
