Who are the CCST?
Working in the process of automation of processes and manufacturing worldwide, CCST are an elite group of automation and control technicians that have proven that they have in -depth knowledge of automation and control systems. The CCST calibrate, document, detect and repair / replace the instrumentation with systems that measure and control level, temperature, pressure, flow and other process variables. They are qualified as pneumatic, mechanical and electronic instrumentation. They include process control loops and process control systems, including IT systems.
What is the difference between the CCST program and Nicet certification?
Nicet, the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies, offers a four -level certification program for instrumentation engineering technologists. The CCST program is designed specifically for the technician of control systems and is more focused on the application.
CCST levels
There are three certification levels offered for control systems technicians. All levels of certification provide an unarmed assessment and confirmation, third-party, objectives and confirmation of the knowledge and experience of an automation technician of the start-up, the commissioning, the verification of the loop, the organization of the project, planning and documentation.

Technician of certified control systems – Level 1
With a minimum requirement for five -year education and minimum experience, winning this certification confirms that you have a wide knowledge of calibration, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.

Specialist in certified control systems technicians – Level 2
With a minimum requirement and minimum experience of seven years, this certification demonstrates level one knowledge, as well as knowledge of administration, supervision or management.

Master certified control systems technician – Level 3
This certification demonstrates level one and two knowledge, including in -depth knowledge of administration, supervision or management, and has a minimum requirement for training, training and / or minimum experience.

How to apply
There is no request form to be completed for CCST certification. Simply complete the following steps:
- Meet CCST certification criteria, qualifications and conditions.
- Recognize that you are subject to an audit for verifying random applications.
- Accept to provide support documents proving your qualifications if you are audited.
- Pay the examination fees.

Following steps
- Monitor an email coming from our test supplier, Meazure Learning (candidatesupport@meazurearning.com). Expect to receive it 15 days before your examination window. E-mail will include information about how to plan your online exam or in a test center. NOTE: If you have taken a CCST examination course and you want to request CCST certification, you must also meet the requirements listed above in numbers 1 to 3. Since the request costs are included in the cost of all CCST examination courses, you will receive an invitation to exam within three working days after completing the examination.
- Plan and take your exam. You will be notified if you pass or not immediately after completing the exam.
- Monitor an email summarizing the results of your exam. If you pass your exam, you will also receive your digital badge and you will be listed in the ISA identification information directory.
- Monitor an e-mail de certification@isa.org concerning an audit. You will only receive this email if you have been selected at random to be checked. If you don't receive this email, you have nothing to do. The audits are carried out three times a year, so it can take several months after completing your exam to receive an email if you have been selected for an audit.

About the examination
You can take one of the online CCST exams from your office or your home if the test area meets the requirements and your computer meets the specifications. You can also take the exam through a Meazure learning test center. CCST exams are multiple choice and have different time and different questions.
