They want to create opportunities for their future,” he said. “Everyone in my team is really favorable to our goal of bringing as many kids in computer courses as possible so that we can help create a more diverse technical workforce thereafter.”
Brown won the sustained impact prize, recognizing its decades of service as a Educator. After having taught digital literacy in the elementary level for its first 20 years, Brown participated in the role of specialist in the integration of educational technology in the district educational technology office, where it involves teachers and students on the use of technology.
With a total of 36 years working in the school district, Brown saw everything, from the first iterations of computer laboratories to the evolution of students playing with robots, she said.
“We went from an end user to a developer,” said Brown. “It's not just about using something that someone else has invented now. Children create their own applications. Children co -sized.
PACT celebrates prices for annual businesses
THE Philadelphia Alliance for capital and technologies (PACT) welcomed its 32nd annual business prize in May, recognizing the best life sciences, health care and technology companies in the region.
