The Council of the Morris Community High School voted on Monday evening to renew its online learning program because it is necessary to do so every three years, and it has renewed the program without change.
The Superintendent Craig Ortiz said that e-learning has worked fairly well in Morris, although it is not ideal.
“None of the two adds days at the end of the year, especially with the coming construction now,” said Ortiz. “If we have to add days to the end, it hurts our calendar for construction. I think elementary schools probably have a little more difficulty in online learning than in high school, but I am happy to continue to move forward if you approve of this.”
Director Michele Flanagan said teachers have prepared work specifically for online learning days.
“This is something for which we prepare our teachers,” said Flanagan. “As,” hey, make sure that these documents have ready to go at any time. It's not just the weather.
Flanagan said teachers have specific sub-bassins or online learning lessons that are autonomous they have ready to leave. It could be an extension of what students already learn or a review.
