I put aside two full days this week to work on the Planetary philosophy Manuscript, in parallel with developing other illustrations for this work. Because the photos are quite intense, they take me a while to illustrate, so I share a more partial work progressIn contrast to a sequence of completed work.

I also take more time for sketch Out Early Ideas: Normally, I tend to intervene and go there with an image, but because of the investment of time, I tend to try some quick sketches and develop only some of them to a final room.

This may not make the cut: I had half the mind that it would be an image of coverage, but it slightly deviates from the others in that it represents a landscape, while generally I showed landscapes “in other forms. But, who knows. Probably at the end of this week, I will have a fairly good view of the number of illustrations I need in total (I want to have a lot!), And then I will need to sift sorting ideas.

I really noticed with ‘Engagement engines: A curious book on generative ai ‘that my first sketches tended not to be the best … of course. But the effort to create them let me be reluctant to abandon them. I always have some “favorites”, but for this work, I really want a solid set of images overall, and once the writing is finished, I plan up to two full weeks for illustrations.
I will continue in #Workoutloud on the book, and I really hope to make faster progress now that I have finished work on the doctorate. My feeling is that I only need 3 to 5 days to finish it, but that is linked to the incredible edition that Sae has done, so it's more a matter of time to come together than anything else.
