To the publisher:

The growing adoption of artificial intelligence in classrooms reflects what I saw in my work as an educational coach in the south of Florida and as a researcher who studies the integration of AI into K-8 schools (“More teachers say they use AI in their lessons. Here's how“Www.edweek.org, March 6, 2025). Teachers are excited by the possibilities but often uncertain of how to assess the educational value of these tools.

For years, educators have relied on the Samr model (substitution, increase, modification, redefinition) to guide the use of technology. But the generator stretches the frame beyond its limits. Tools like Chatgpt and Magicschool do not replace or increase, they automate, often personalize and transform learning tasks in a way that defies the linear categories of Samr.

Rather than forcing AI in inherited models, educators could benefit from more flexible executives who prioritize the learning of students. THE Triple e framework emphasizes commitment, improvement and extension, while Tpack Help teachers to assess the relationship between technology, pedagogy and content. These models provide more nuanced advice on how AI can be integrated significantly into teaching.

While AI becomes more integrated into class practice, we must make sure that our model assessment models are just as innovative. Teachers deserve tools that reflect the complexity of today's classrooms and allow them to use AI so as to support a more in -depth reflection and student growth.
