What is a “community education workshop”?
The British Red Cross community education program aims to promote learning and social development work with individuals and groups in the communities of Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England. Our workshops, which defend learning mental and physical health issues, as well as humanitarianism, are only a way in which community education teams offer support.
What skills will I learn and why are they important?
During our workshops, you can acquire vital skills that can help you support you in daily life. Here is what they are focusing on:
Build resilience – bouncing difficulties, quickly and successfully.
Facing adversity – being able to manage problems and challenges.
Manage well -being – Learn ways to take care of your mental health.
First aid – Learn what to do in potentially deadly emergencies to help others.
These skills will help you support and provide you with the tools you need to solve the problems you and your community can present yourself in daily life.
How much are the workshops cost?
There is no cost for education workshops, which means that those who need it can access support. These are funded by donations to community education. If you want to help us provide education to more people, make a donation here.
What type of support do you offer stitches?
There are three different delivery methods of workshops, face to face, online or by phone. This ensures that educational workshops are accessible by those who need them. We also provide Welsh workshops (Cymraeg). We can also help those who have additional needs, including those who have English as a second language.
Please contact us by e-mail or by phone, if you are interested in a workshop in Cymraeg or need additional help.
What is the difference between an “individual” and adult “group” workshop?
Adult workshops can be joined as an individual or as a group. Individual reservations mean a reservation for a person, who will join a workshop alongside other people and is available online and online only. A group booking means an organized group which makes a reservation together (size of the participants for groups of young people 5 to 35, adult groups 5 to 15). This could be an organized group such as a sports or recreational team. Our workshops are available online, face to face and by delivery by phone.
