Watsachol Narongsaksakul, a third -year doctoral student at the teaching and learning school, presented at 2025 Teacher association (ATE) Conference at New Orleans. Its session, entitled “Transforming teachers' preparation programs with the literacy of AI”, argued for responsible and democratic uses of artificial intelligence for teachers.

The ATE is devoted to the improvement of teacher training programs, and its annual meeting of 2025 focused on the theme of advocacy.

Narongsaksakul explained that his presentation raised the “defender of the profession” component of the ATE by actively committing to AI policy and his impacts on teacher training to inform stakeholders in the development of study programs.

More specifically, Narongsaksakul addressed three significant approaches to the integration of literacy of the AI ​​through the framework of the knowledge of IA-Technological, educational and content (AI-TPACK), Bloom taxonomy and interdisciplinary curriculum adjustments. Its session was aimed at providing a new means of teachers to adopt AI and the redesign study program in response to new professional skills requirements.

“My multidisciplinary doctoral research on the ethical use of AI in education has an impact on society through school connections and folding the digital divide,” she said. “The revolutionary use of teaching and learning improved by AI will help teachers create an alignment of the curriculum, to increase human intelligence and to offer auto-rhythmé learning possibilities.

She hopes that participants had an overview of the use of emerging technologies to improve their teacher preparation programs.

“The integration of AI into teacher training programs is urgent to effectively strengthen skills in learning with and on AI as an adaptive and personalized tool,” said Narongsaksakul.

She wants teachers to feel confident by becoming aware of their future students of equity, transparency and reliability in AI to ensure that it is used in a responsible and democratic manner.

Narongsaksakul aims to create a precedent for AI in education and provide teachers with a new radical understanding of literacy.
