Career choice is Amazon's prepaid schooling program for operations employees seeking to continue their studies.
The career choice program, created in 2012, is an advantage of education and training which helps time employees eligible to develop their skills for career success and has been particularly impactful.
To date, more than 250,000 Amazon employees have received training for high -demand professions, including aircraft mechanisms, mecatronic technicians, commercial truck drivers, medical assistants, computer support specialists, etc. The continuous growth of the program is remarkable, with more than 100,000 employees participating in only 2025.
The increase in growth in recent years has been mainly due to program changes resulting from employee feedback. For example, in 2022, employees told us that they were interested in fundamental skills such as learning the English language, the completion of the school and the GED programs. Once we received these comments, our teams took place to give access to these types of programs.
Since then, more than 8,900 employees have graduated from EDM, more than 2,000 have obtained their high school diplomas by the career choice and more than 26,000 employees in the United States have participated in English jurisdiction programs to date.
