The Minnesota Employment and Economic Development Department has awarded the St. Cloud State University a vocational training subsidy of $ 327,000.

The subsidy, announced on Thursday, comes from the financing of Minnesota Job Skills Partnership and will extend the training programs in partnership with the specialized entrepreneur based in Rogers Veit.

The project will be a combined initiative between Veit and the University Professional and continuous training departmentwho joins forces with companies on the supply of professional development and employee training possibilities.

The MJSP was created in 1983 to extend the qualified Minnesota workforce to meet the economic needs of the State, according to the Deed website.

The new initiative between VEIT and SCSU is supposed to help VEIT to reorganize and rationalize its training program for employees, “allowing participants to achieve their growth objectives, to support digital progress and to remain competitive in the labor market,” said a statement concerning the subsidy.

VEIT, which began in 1928, specializes in fields such as earthworks, demolition and navy projects, and has worked on numerous initiatives through Minnesota, Northern Dakota and Wisconsin.
