Wake County is launching a free online learning platform for library card holders

New partnership with Gale Presents: Udemy unlocks 24/7 access to courses

Wake County Public Library Card holders now have free 24/7 access to thousands of video courses on demand designed to support career growth, personal development and lifelong learning.

This new partnership with Galgae present: Udemy Card holders will be able to explore more than 25,000 online video courses led by experts covering subjects such as businesses, technology, skilled trades, personal development and more. The collection also includes specialized content for learners in English and job seekers who seek to acquire or refine essential workplace skills.

“This offer removes obstacles to high -quality education and is just another way in which our libraries support learning for all residents of the county of Wake,” said Susan Evans, president of the council of commissioners of the county of Wake. “It is an excellent resource that we hope for all residents will benefit from it.”

This initiative supports the strategic concentration of the Wake County Board of Commissioners on lifelong learning and aligns with the mission of the public libraries of the county of Wake to promote learning for all by removing obstacles to educational opportunities.
