The schools of the County of Volusia announces extended online learning opportunities for the 2025-26 school year

Deland, FL – The schools of the County Volusia are delighted to announce the expansion of its online learning opportunities for the next school year 2025-26, including the introduction of the innovative VFlex + program. These programs are designed to provide flexible and complete educational options for students and families looking for alternative learning environments.

VFLEX +program: a new path for home education students

The VFLEX + program is a part -time initiative adapted to home students who want the advantages of full -time educational experience without full -time engagement. VFLEX + allows students to register for up to six courses, offering academic advice and support to help them stay on the right track for a secondary school diploma, if they choose to return to full -time education.

Key characteristics of VFLEX +:

  • Without tuition fees: VCS provides computers, technological support and all services for free.
  • Flexible course registration: Students can take up to six lessons.
  • Academic support: Access to academic consulting and support services.
  • Pathway to Diploma: Maintains a path to a secondary school diploma. *
  • Ideal for family education families: Perfect for families looking for flexibility and independence while ensuring academic rigor.

VFLEX + joins the other two online learning opportunities for VCS to offer a full range for students:

· Volusia Online Learning (Flight): Vol provides full virtual education by bringing together the best technologies, study programs and local teachers from the County of Volusia to provide an exceptional online educational experience. Vol offers a fully online public school environment aligned with state standards, with virtual lessons, teachers' discussions and a variety of evaluation tools. Students have access to their 24/7 courses, allowing flexible learning hours. Flight students participate in live lessons have access to individual meetings with teachers and, at the end of the requirements, will graduate like all other VCS secondary schools.

· VFLEX program: The VFLEX program is associated with traditional schools to offer a variety of basic courses and courses to choose from students from 6th to 12th year. This part -time program is designed to provide educational opportunities and additional support to students who seek to improve their learning experience.

Information and registration sessions

In order to discover more information on and register for our virtual offers such as flight and VFLEX +, parents should go to K12.VCSEDU.ORG/ONLINE-LARNING And register for a virtual information session.

Information sessions will take place at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the following dates:

*While VFLEX + supports families to ensure that students remain on the right track for a diploma, students will have to go to a full -time program, such as Volusia Online Learning or another VCS high school – before their last year to obtain a diploma.
