Howard digital and online learning office (Dol), created in 2022, played a decisive role in this expansion, reporting a growth of 65% of students entirely online in the past three years. The office has also developed the management of Howard's essential elements, which ranks like university courses No. 1 among the most popular 100 online courses in the central class of 2025.

The Howard University School of Education recently launched an online diploma completion program designed for nearly 50 million adult learners who have obtained university credits but did not obtain their diplomas. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the program, this program offers career paths to advanced diplomas and prepares students to work in various fields, including public policy, health services, advice, etc.
