Volusia schools develop online learning options with VFlex +

Volusia County, Florida – The schools of the County Volusia expand its online learning for students during the school year in 2025-26.

The school district will be launched The VFLEX + program Eco -collar recording for students and families Look for alternative learning environments.

The program is a part -time initiative adapted to students educated at home who wish the advantages of full -time educational experience without full -time engagement, according to the district.

Thanks to VFLEX +, parents can choose where and when the school occurs – allowing more time for travel, sports and other hobbies.

Students can register for up to six courses and obtain academic advice and support to obtain their secondary school diploma.

The key characteristics of the program include:

  • Without tuition fees: VCS provides computers, technological support and all services for free.
  • Flexible course registration: Students can take up to six lessons.
  • Academic support: Access to academic consulting and support services.
  • Way to the diploma: Maintains a path to a secondary school diploma. *
  • Ideal for home education families: Perfect for families looking for flexibility and independence while ensuring academic rigor.

The county also noted that parents are in charge of their students' home education and must comply with home education laws in Florida, including annual evaluation requirements (Florida Statute 1002.41).

* They also said that the elderly will have to go to a full -time program like Volusia Online Learning or another VCS high school to obtain a diploma.

Two other online learning options that offer a full range for students include:

  • Online volusia learning (Flight): Vol offers a fully online public school environment aligned with state standards, with virtual lessons, teachers' discussions and a variety of evaluation tools. Students have access to their 24/7 courses, allowing flexible learning hours. Flight students participate in live lessons have access to individual meetings with teachers and, at the end of the requirements, will graduate like all other VCS secondary schools.
  • VFLEX program:: The VFLEX program is associated with traditional schools to offer a variety of basic courses and courses to choose from students from 6th to 12th year. This part -time program is designed to provide educational opportunities and additional support to students who seek to improve their learning experience. Students continue to have access to career and technical training courses, choice of prices and artistic programs, as well as additional courses specific to VFLEX.

The county offers virtual information sessions to learn more about these student programs.

The sessions will take place at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on these dates:

  • April 24
  • May 8
  • May 22
  • June 5
  • June 26
  • July 10
  • July 24
